In 1999, Multi-Tech launched the ModemModule family of embedded modems. Today the family consists of 33.6K or 56K, serial or parallel, industrial temperature or medical models. In addition, Multi-Tech has introduced an IP enabled modem module. Recently, Multi-Tech acquired Conexant's SocketModem business. The SocketModem family consists of 2400, 14.4K, 33.6K and 56K, serial or parallel models. Combined, ModemModule and SocketModem provide Multi-Tech with a more diverse product offering and a dominant market share of the embedded modem market. |
